Privacy policy

Rimu Labs ("we") is a sole-trader business based in New Zealand. This policy explains how we handle personal information under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
- Customer contact: if you email us or open an issue, we keep your name, email address and message so we can respond.
- Tool runs: our tools run on the Apify platform, under your Apify account. Apify bills you and processes your account data under its own privacy policy. We do not receive your payment details.
- Tool outputs: our tools collect publicly available data on your instructions. You are the controller of that data and decide how it is used. We do not keep copies of your results.
Who processes data for us
Apify Technologies (runs our tools), Cloudflare (website and email routing), GitHub (code and operations) and Anthropic (AI assistant used to help draft support replies and maintain our tools). Some of these process data outside New Zealand.
Your rights
You can ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you. Email support@rimulabs.com. Our privacy officer will respond within 20 working days. If we have a privacy breach likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the Privacy Commissioner and affected people as the Act requires.
Removal requests
If you believe one of our tools collects information about you that it shouldn't, email us. We review requests promptly and can exclude data sources.
